When you are dealing with cancer special events can be very difficult. Weddings can be especially hard because for ladies, we don’t feel beautiful and we might not have hair when we attend one. Before the wedding date go in and talk to one of the cosmotologists about your fears and worries. They can help you figure out what you can do to make it look like you are put together and not dealing with something like cancer. They are trained to do things like this and can help, all you need to do is ask and be open to what they have to say. When you go in, you want to take your wig you plan on wearing so they can match the colors to the color of the wig.
The make up that the cosmotologist will go a long way. She can make your eyes pop and work eye liner to make it look like you have lashes. Then she can show you have to use an eyebrow pencil to make it look like you have eyelashes and it will look natural instead of painted on like some of the older ladies do. They can show you how to use different things to highlight different aspects of your complexion to bring out your overall beauty. When we are dealing with cancer it is so hard to feel beautiful because you are sick all the time. This is one way to help battle that. Another thing that the cosmotologist can do is hide those scars. They can use a mixture of different colors and make-ups to cover the scar and make it disappear. I have a horrid scar on my neck from a biopsy and the cosmotologist that did my make-up for a wedding I was in, made it disappear I was amazed. No one noticed that it was there, they couldn’t tell I had cancer, unless they knew. And those who knew said it looked as if I was myself once more. Make up can go a long way when you want to look special for a big event like a wedding.
Dress
Not just make-up can go a long way, but the dress that you wear can do a lot for your body. Certain dresses can make you look sicker while others can make you look simply fabulous. The kind of wig that you get makes a world of difference. It is the one thing that can really make you feel normal and like yourself even if it isn’t you hair. But at the same time it could cause some depression because it isn’t your hair when you are at a wedding or something special. I suggest looking for a wig that would feel the most like your own hiar. You can get it in the same color, length, and even style. The hair stylist you order it from can help you determine what you want. I suggest going to a hair stylist to get a wig instead of getting one offline for a special occasion because you never know if it would fit or how it would look on you. You want a wig that will look as natural as possible, some that you get online could simply look fake.
Going to a wedding or being in one can be a really stressful time even if you don’t have cancer. But when you do have it, there are so many different things that run through your head. You want to feel normal like everyone else, but you don’t. You get tired to quickly and that does make it hard sometimes to enjoy yourself at a special event. But when you feel yourelf getting tired sit down for a little bit or if need be confide in a friend. I did and it helped a great deal to know that if I wanted to leave I had someone who would leave with me so I wouldn’t feel embarassed that the cancer was causing me problems. You can live a normal life and do the things that you want to do, you just need to learn how to do them.
