Fall wedding centerpieces make for wonderful season specific decorations on any table. Whether you are working on the big DIY wedding centerpieces for the wedding party tables, or the smaller fall wedding centerpieces for the guests’ tables, there are some inexpensive options available to you.
Fall Wedding Centerpieces Using Wheat and Dried Flowers
For each of the wedding centerpieces you need: two or three kinds of wheat, a twist tie, dried fall flowers, and white tulle.
Begin the creation of your DIY wedding centerpieces by arranging the different types of wheat into a tight bunch. Even out the stems on the bottom by gently tapping them on a hard surface. Now take the bunch of wheat and twist it in the middle; you will notice that the bottom of the wheat stalks spreads out. Use the twist tie and tighten it around the center of the sheaf.
If the sheaf is too big, cut the bottom portion until it meets your needs. Stick dried fall flowers into the sheaf, but do so sparingly; you do not want to take away from the simple beauty of the wheat. When you are satisfied with the look of your fall wedding centerpieces, wrap the tulle around the twist tie and cover it up completely.
Caveat: Do not place these DIY wedding centerpieces near candles. They are highly flammable!
DIY Wedding Centerpieces Using Gourds and Gold Paint
Create the fall wedding centerpieces using baskets made of twigs, a wide array of gourds, walnuts, gold enamel paint, and fall leaves.
Line the desired number of baskets with fall leaves. If you cannot find baskets made of twigs, you might opt for rustic looking baskets or even dark wooden bowls. Paint a number of smaller gourds and walnuts with the gold paint. After they dry, place them with natural gourds and nuts into the baskets made of twigs. These gorgeous fall wedding centerpieces may be made in any size and shape; you are limited only by the sizes, numbers, and shapes of baskets you choose.
Fall Wedding Table Decorations Made With Gourds and Candles
These easy wedding centerpieces require the use of mirror tiles, different sized gourds, cutlery, and cinnamon scented candles.
Take a bigger gourd and hollow it out, carving also a couple of ornamental holes in its sides; place a cinnamon scented candle inside the gourd. Place the gourd onto a mirror tile and surround it with the smaller gourds. Light the candle and enjoy the whimsical effect it has when shining through the holes of the gourd and also reflecting from the mirror.
