In this stage of 16 to 9 months before the wedding, you should also start the guest list, hire a planner, reserve your venue, book your officiant, hire your photographer, and throw an engagement party. At around 8 months before the wedding, you should hire the photographer, book the entertainment, meet the caterers, purchase a dress, reserve hotel rooms, register for gifts, and even launch a wedding website. At 7 to 6 months pre-wedding day, you should select the invitations, start planning the honeymoon, shop for bridesmaids’ dresses, book a florist, and even compose a wedding day timeline.
In the final months leading up to the big day, you should book the rehearsal dinner venue, select and order the cake, set up the bridal shower, schedule hair and makeup, choose your music, purchase the rings, and review all of the day of events. Coordinate meetings with all participants in the wedding, such as the photographer and officiant to ensure they understand what you both want for your big day.
